NEW YORK—The 569-room Millenium Hilton, located in lower Manhattan, completed multiple renovations and added Wi-Fi throughout the property.
The Church & Dey restaurant, the lobby area and its bar, Liquid Assets, have all been substantially redesigned.
Guests are now greeted in the lobby by Jacobsen-inspired chairs that provide a sculptural element to this space. The mosaic carpeting has been replaced in both the north and south sections of the lobby with graphite granite. The color palette was transitioned to bronzes and creams with highlights of citrus lime.
The seating arrangement in the south lobby is more concentrated for the bar/lounge services while the north lobby has a centered square banquette that offers circulation around all sides.
The Church & Dey restaurant, located on the third floor, now has new carpeting and seating.
“The lobby and restaurant are focal points of the hotel for our guests, so we wanted not only to provide them with a fresh new look, but incorporate technological upgrades as well,” said General Manager Jan Larsen. “The earthtone colors as well as the contemporary furnishings selected in the overall redesign make for a more relaxed and inviting atmosphere, whether dining in Church & Dey or enjoying a signature cocktail in Liquid Assets.”
Architecture and design firm BBG-BBGM handled the lobby and restaurant redesign.
