TAMPA, FL—McKibbon Hospitality topped out the construction of a 22-story tower at the site above the Epicentre entertainment complex in Charlotte, NC. The structure will host a 184-room AC Hotel, a 116-room Residence Inn, 2,400 sq. ft. of meeting space, a two-bedroom super suite on the rooftop level, an independent rooftop restaurant and bar, as well as restaurant and retail space for lease.

McKibbon Hospitality is partnering with general contractor Cleveland Construction on the project, who has worked on a number of projects throughout North Carolina and maintains an office in Charlotte. The project is co-developed by McKibbon Hospitality and Charlotte-based Vision Ventures. It is slated to open in early 2018.

The dual-branded hotel tower brings 300 new rooms to uptown Charlotte, providing two distinct options for travelers: the European-style boutique AC Hotel and the extended-stay Residence Inn. The AC Hotel will be the first of its brand to open in Charlotte and the second in North Carolina. McKibbon Hospitality is developing North Carolina’s first AC Hotel, which will open in Asheville early 2017.
