Remington Hotels has added a new SVP, business development, while McKibbon Hospitality has added six executives to its leadership team.
Cheng joins Remington Hotels
Remington Hotels has appointed Willis Cheng as SVP, business development, further bolstering the third-party management company’s leadership team.
Cheng comes to the company from Evolution Hospitality, where he served as VP, business development for three years. There, he expanded the operator’s portfolio through growing capital, conducting underwriting and executing hotel management agreements. He also brings experience with established brands including the Hotels & Hospitality Group at Jones Lang LaSalle and the Commercial Real Estate: Hospitality Finance Group at Wells Fargo Bank.
In his new role, Cheng utilizes more than a decade’s worth of experience in sales, finance and hospitality development to support Remington Hotels’ rapid expansion.
McKibbon Hospitality adds six new leaders to corporate team
McKibbon Hospitality has appointed six new corporate team members across its operations, sales and marketing, revenue management and engineering disciplines.
Carrie Duncan has been promoted to the role of regional VP, operations from her most recent role as dual general manager of the AC Hotel and Residence Inn by Marriott Charlotte City Center. She began her career with McKibbon in 2012, and has overseen operations at several of its properties, including Hilton Garden Inn Gainesville and Aloft Tallahassee.
Donnie Morgan has also been promoted to the role of regional VP, operations. A nearly 30-year hospitality veteran and long-time McKibbon leader, Morgan most recently served as cluster general manager overseeing McKibbon’s Residence Inn Savannah Downtown/Historic District, while also providing support and strategic leadership to McKibbon’s two additional Savannah properties.
Charity Wilson, a 15-year McKibbon leader, has been promoted to the role of regional director, sales and marketing from her most recent position as market director, sales, overseeing sales initiatives, events and revenue generations for McKibbon’s cluster of six hotels in Knoxville, TN.
Michael Herr brings nearly 15 years of revenue management experience to his new role as regional revenue manager. Most recently, he worked as the task force director of revenue management for HEI Hotels and Resorts, implementing sales and revenue management strategies for assets and special projects across multiple brands and markets, while also overseeing digital marketing campaigns.
Michael McKenzie also joins McKibbon as a regional revenue manager, overseeing revenue strategy for a portfolio of hotels. A certified revenue management executive, he most recently served as revenue manager for Auro Hotels in Greenville, SC, overseeing the development and implementation of pricing strategies for select-and-full-service Marriott and Hilton properties.
Terry McBride joins McKibbon as regional director, engineering from Concord Hospitality Enterprises, where he served as corporate regional facilities director responsible for preventative maintenance, equipment standards and expenditures for upwards of 60 hotels. A licensed Florida General Contractor, McBride founded Tymber Creek Contracting Services Inc. in 2019, specializing in hotel and commercial renovations and remodeling.
Aschidamini appointed corporate director of marketing at Pacifica Hotels
Pacifica Hotels has named Julie Aschidamini as its corporate director, marketing.
With more than 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Aschidamini will lead the marketing department. She previously served as the VP, marketing for Sand Cloud and has held various marketing positions at L.E. Hotels, Luxe Hotels, Santa Catalina Island Company and Terranea Resort.
