PHILADELPHIA, PA—Marriott International, Inc. will open the Courtyard Philadelphia South at The Navy Yard this month, making it the first hotel in the mixed-use development.
The hotel will offer 172 rooms, including eight suites, and 1,800 sq. ft. of meeting space. Dining options include The Bistro, which will offer indoor and alfresco dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner, a Starbucks and a 24-hour market. Amenities include complimentary Internet and parking.
A LEED-Certified building, the grounds offer environmentally conscious landscaping and the building is sound engineered for quiet.
Spanning more than 1,200 acres, The Navy Yard offers a mix of office, industrial, manufacturing, research and development tenants. More than 70% of the businesses in The Navy Yard are start-ups or are new to the Philadelphia community.
The hotel is six miles from Philadelphia International Airport and four miles from City Hall. Nearby attractions also include South Philadelphia Sports Complex and Xfinity Live!; The Navy Yard also offers a complimentary shuttle to Center City during peak weekday hours.
Marriott International, Inc. will expand its select-service & extended-stay brand lines with over 10 hotels slated to open in 2014.
