DUBAI— Marriott International has opened its first Marriott Executive Apartments in the Middle East— a 172-unit property in Dubai owned by Union Properties PJSC. Separately, Millennium & Copthorne has inked two management contracts for hotels in the United Arab Emirates. Marriott’s Dubai facility is expected to be followed by new apartment complexes in Shanghai and Dalian later this year. Meanwhile, M&C plans to open the 325-room Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi and the 250-room Millennium Hotel Sharjah, which is currently under construction, later this year in the spring and summer respectively.
