BETHESDA, MD—Marriott International, Inc. has revealed that the Delta Orlando Lake Buena Vista will open in December. To be operated under a franchise agreement by JHM Hotels, this will be the first Delta Hotels and Resorts branded property in the United States.

“We are excited to debut the [Delta Hotels and Resorts] brand in one of the country’s top resort and leisure destinations, and look forward to welcoming even more guests to the Delta experience. This opening also marks the beginning of new growth opportunities for both our owners and franchisees,” said Paul Cahill, global brand leader, Delta Hotels & Resorts and area VP of operations, Canada.

The 241-room resort is minutes from local Orlando attractions features a resort-style swimming pool with a kids’ splash zone and pirate ship; a kid’s activity room; fitness center; complimentary WiFi; onsite parking; and D Flats restaurant and bar. As a future member of the Disney Good Neighbor Hotel program, the resort will offer transportation to and from local attractions, including all of the Disney theme parks, according to Marriott.

“The Delta Orlando Lake Buena Vista offers a guest experience unique to the market—the benefits of an upscale family resort combined with a boutique feel,” said DJ Rama, president of JHM Hotels.

Marriott International acquired the Delta Hotels and Resorts brand in April. The brand consists of 37 hotels and nearly 10,000 rooms.
