LONDON- Plans for Londons first floating luxury hotel have been unveiled by its owner, Harbour Quay Hotels, as it seeks permission from the Tower Hamlets Council to permanently moor a futuristic styled 200-luxury cabin liner hotel in the heart of Londons Docklands, near Canary Wharf.

The liner, which is currently under construction by Portsmouth-based shipbuilder Vosper Thornycraft, is expected to open in 2002. Harbour Quays Hotels is in discussions with an international operator to manage the vessel. (10/31/00)
