HONG KONG—Le Méridien Cyberport, located here, will be the first hotel in the city to offer guests an allergy-friendly Pure floor and guestrooms treated by Pure Global, according to the company.
The Pure floor and guestrooms are inspected, treated and certified to meet the strict standards qualifying this as a Pure Allergy Friendly Room. According to the company, the Pure room gives guests relief from allergies and mild respiratory issues, including coughing, sneezing, sniffing and watery eyes; more sound sleep; clean, crisp, ultra-fresh air, enhancing the relaxation and recuperation that people expect; and it does not use chemicals or leave any lingering odors.
A seven-step patented Pure Room Treatment Process is implemented to remove allergens and irritants from all surfaces, fabrics and air flow, resulting in a room that is up to 98% free of bacteria, viruses and impurities including dust from the air, according to the company. Carpet and upholstery sanitation uses all natural plant based Pure Clean, and a one-time shock treatment is given to the entire room to minimize bacteria and mold. The process also includes complete sanitation and treatment of air-handling unit, installation of Tea Tree Oil Cartridge in air-handling unit; application of Pure Shield anti-microbial treatment; installation of Hypo-Allergenic pillow and mattress encasements; and installation of air purification system.
To maintain the Pure conditions in the guestrooms, a state-of-the-art air purification system is installed in each room to create air quality that averages four times cleaner than the threshold necessary for asthma patients. Special micro-fiber, hypo-allergenic pillow cases and mattress covers are used to reduce allergies triggered by dust mites.
Le Méridien Cyberport will introduce the Pure Floor on Oct. 15, on Level 13, the highest floor of the hotel. It features 20 Pure rooms, including the Bayside Premier Suite, Deluxe Suites and Smart Pure Rooms.
