NEW YORK- Kempinski, a Geneva-based luxury hotel and resort operator, is looking to raise its brand recognition in the United States and is actively seeking partnerships with American hotels.

About 16% of Kempinskis hotel guests are now Americans, and the company wants to raise that number to 25%.
In the next six months, the company, which operates 26 hotels in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia, plans to link up with American hotel companies to exchange services and enhance the companys sales network. The partnership will likely include joint promotions for Kempinski and the American partner, and deals for clients of the partner hotels at Kempinski hotels. (10/27/00)
