SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO—International Hospitality Enterprises (IHE), a developer and manager of hotels in Puerto Rico, continues to elevate its portfolio with property enhancements and guestroom renovations at Hotel El Convento, La Concha A Renaissance Resort, Copamarina Beach Resort & Spa, Doubletree by Hilton San Juan, and Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort.
“From intimate, historic luxury to family and business travel, our hotels cater to all our guest needs,” stated José M. Suárez, president of IHE. “The property renovations support our commitment to being the best in class and provide guests with a truly memorable experience.”
The beachfront La Concha A Renaissance Resort in Condado has enhanced its ambiance with a million dollar guestroom refresh in its Ocean Tower, to be completed in the fall 2014. The guestrooms, which offer views of the Condado Beach and resort’s main pool, will undergo a floor-to-ceiling update with new furnishings, including contemporary lamps, desks, chairs, night tables, and drapes, all in the resort’s signature white color scheme. The hotel will also replace flooring in the 248 guestrooms, including new bathroom tiles.
The beachside Copamarina Beach Resort & Spa, located in Guanica, on the Southwest Coast of Puerto Rico, is refreshing all of its guestrooms with a neutral palate offset with vibrant hints of color, creating a modern “Caribbean chic” look and feel. The resort will complete the million-dollar project in the fall 2014, updating 106 rooms with new furniture and soft goods.
The historic Hotel El Convento situated in the Old San Juan recently completed a $300,000 update of Salon Paoli, one of the hotel’s meeting venues. The refreshed 1,500 sq.-ft. space features crystal chandeliers, oak-framed mirror-lined walls and new flooring to go along with the updated décor.
Courtyard by Marriott Isla Verde Beach Resort recently completed a refresh of its signature swim-up pool, which overlooks Isla Verde Beach. As part of a larger $12-million property renovation, the resort has plans to update the hotel’s lobby as well as its 260 guestrooms with new furniture and bathrooms by the end of 2014.
Doubletree by Hilton San Juan will feature a new YeloSpa treatment room. The room features a Tibetan-inspired design with a purple and orange color palette, wood floor tiling and a signature zero-gravity massage bed. A variety of customized services and treatments are now available for guests, including Swedish, reflexology, sports, and prenatal massages as well as facials and body wraps.
