DOHA, QATAR—InterContinental Doha The City named Pascal Eggerstedt general manager of the 525-room luxury hotel and residences located here in West Bay.
Eggerstedt has been a part of IHG since 1997 and brings to InterContinental Doha The City more than 22 years’ of experience in the hotel industry.
Previously, Eggerstedt served as GM at the Crowne Plaza Bahrain where he lead a $12 million renovation.
His career began with operational roles at five-star luxury properties in Europe and the Caribbean. He then moved into IHG corporate offices in Hong Kong and Singapore in the Total Quality Management and Continuous Improvement department. Subsequently, Eggerstedt held operations roles in Indonesia before joining the IHG global headquarters in London as director operations support for the EMEA region. In 2007 as hotel manager, Eggerstedt helped lead the opening team of the new flagship InterContinental and Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival City in the UAE. After completing an assignment with the InterContinental Phoenicia Beirut and Hotel InterContinental Le Vendome in Lebanon, Eggerstedt was appointed GM in the Sultanate of Oman, where he and his team opened and launched the latest addition of IHG’s Crowne Plaza brand in the market.

Open since 2012, the hotel offers 349 guestrooms and suites as well as 176 apartments.
