NEW ORLEANS—Hyatt Regency New Orleans is offering free WiFi to guests independent of booking method or loyalty program participation, and is available on an unlimited number of mobile devices or laptops in all guestrooms and social spaces.

“Hyatt Regency New Orleans is in the Central Business District of New Orleans, and many of our guests are hurried business travelers who tell us time is their most valuable resource,” said General Manager Michael Smith. “We know Internet connectivity is viewed as an essential amenity [for]our guests’ productivity and staying connected to their life at home, and offering free WiFi in guestrooms and social spaces with no string attached offers peace of mind.”

Where available, Platinum and Diamond Hyatt Gold Passport members will receive a free upgrade to premium WiFi service in guestrooms and social spaces, and guests will have the option to purchase premium service. Standard-tier service is appropriate for general web surfing and email and premium-tier WiFi is appropriate for more bandwidth-intensive activities such as gaming and streaming movies or television shows, according to the hotel.

At Hyatt Regency New Orleans, guests only need to provide their name and room number to access the hotel’s free WiFi. While free WiFi is available in all guestrooms and social spaces such as the lobby and restaurants managed by the hotel, it does not extend to meeting rooms, where bandwidth demand varies by the number of event attendees. Hyatt Regency New Orleans will continue to work with organizers individually to procure appropriate support.
