STAMFORD, CT—Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has opened the Element Vancouver Metrotown, the second property in Canada for the brand. Owned by Bosa Properties and managed by Atlific Hotels, Element Vancouver Metrotown is part of Bosa’s new Sovereign building, the tallest tower in Burnaby, British Columbia. Offering views of the North Shore Mountains and downtown Vancouver, the new Element features 169 rooms and suites. Element Vancouver Metrotown joins Element Vaughan Southwest in the greater Toronto region, and will be followed by the opening of two more Element hotels in Canada next year.

Element Vancouver Metrotown is located on the northeast corner of Kingsway and Willingdon Ave. within Metropolis at Metrotown, a shopping, dining and entertainment complex just steps from the growing Burnaby business district. Home to numerous corporations and high-tech businesses, Burnaby is a 20-minute ride from downtown Vancouver via SkyTrain and convenient to Rogers Arena, BC Place and the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Other amenities include the complementary Rise breakfast and the Relax evening wine reception, complimentary bikes to borrow, a state-of-the-art 24-hour fitness center and an indoor saline swimming pool. A 28,000-sq.-ft. Good Life Fitness gym is also located in the Sovereign Tower.
