NEW YORK The historic Hotel Wales has completed a multi-million dollar refurbishment program. The restoration finished in time for the hotel s centennial anniversary in 2001.
Many of the 87-guestrooms received bathroom upgrades, including new fixtures and tile work, high speed internet access through HotelDigital will be available in all guestrooms by November 2000, and laptops will be provided for guests upon request. The hotel also opened its new rooftop garden, which provides panoramic views of Central Park, and the property s famous bakery and cafi, Sarabeth s, will open a new 100- seat, American-style brasserie in January 2001.
