KANSAS CITY, MO— As of Sept. 30, Hotel Brokers International had set a company record for brokered hotel sale transactions taking place during the first nine months of the year. During that period of time this year, HBI arranged 97 dispositions, which is a 10-property increase above the same period in 2005. The transaction pace equates to about two deals per week. The 97 dispositions also equaled a total sales volume of $388.1 million. Much of HBI’s deal activity occurred on specifically the West Coast. Among the members of HBI that have exhibited some of the largest transaction volume increases are Brown Hotel Group; Donohoe Real Estate Service, Inc.; and Huff, Niehaus & Associates, Inc.
