HOUMA, LA—Homewood Suites by Hilton, Hilton Worldwide’s international brand of upscale, all-suite, extended-stay hotels, has opened the Homewood Suites by Hilton Houma here.
Developed and owned by Ashi Houma Hotels, LLC, this is the eighth Homewood Suites property in the state and features 105 suites. Michael Mocklin, general manager, and Terrolyn Mitchell, director of sales, have been in the hotel industry for a combined 45 years.

The hotel is located at 142 Citiplace Dr., off Highway 90, in Louisiana’s Bayou Country. Homewood Suites Houma offers guests convenient access to popular attractions including swamp tours, airboat rides, charter fishing trips and museums, as well as various shopping options and authentic Cajun restaurants. The hotel is also easily accessible to major oil and gas companies such as BP, Halliburton, Hercules Offshore, Hunting Energy Services, Superior Energy and Baker Hughes.
Homewood Suites by Hilton provides travelers amenities and services including complimentary Internet, daily full-hot breakfast and theWelcome Home evening social Monday through Thursday. In addition, Homewood Suites offers fully equipped kitchens, separate sleeping and living spaces and a complimentary grocery shopping service. The hotel also features a fitness center, basketball court and outdoor grill.
