MCLEAN. VA—Hilton Worldwide and SC Apex Alliance 1 S.R.L. have reached a franchise agreement to open the 201-key Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town, which will be located in a historic listed building, in 2017.
Patrick Fitzgibbon, SVP, development, EMEA, Hilton Worldwide, said, “Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town provides an incredible opportunity to sensitively preserve the facade of a historic city center building, whilst incorporating a quality contemporary hotel within—a strategy we are deploying to great success in European cities including Moscow, Paris, London and Szczecin.”
Amenities at the hotel will include a restaurant, cooked-to-order breakfast and a 24-hour fitness center.
Romania is already home to five Hilton Worldwide hotels under three different brands, and Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Old Town marks the brand’s debut in the city.
