ANAHEIM, CA- Stephen Bollenbach, president/CEO of Hilton Hotels Corp., was the keynote speaker at the Travel Industry Associations (TIA) Marketing Forum held at the Disneyland Hotel.

In his address, Bollenbach offered the audience a top ten list for continuing success in the travel industry, which included such things as: invest in technology, retain good employees, make sure the customer comes first, and support aggressive marketing campaigns.

“Were in this incredible industry where business is really booming, and which is a major economic and employment force throughout the United States and the world,” Bollenbach said, citing the $3.5 trillion spent annually by consumers on worldwide travel, and the fact that one of every 12 people in the world are employed directly or indirectly by the travel and tourism industry. “But the biggest mistake any of us can make is to rest on our past successes and become complacent.” (10/26/00)
