AGUASCALIENTES, MEXICO—Hampton by Hilton continues its expansion in Mexico with the recent opening of Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Aguascalientes. The new-build, 188-room hotel managed by Hilton Worldwide is the first Hampton property in Aguascalientes and the 18th in the country.
“We are pleased to bring Hamptonality to Aguascalientes and proud the Hampton brand is initiating Hilton’s presence in this historical, recreational and industrial city,” said Phil Cordell, Global Head, Focused Service and Hampton Brand Management, Hilton Worldwide. “It is our major goal to continue expanding Hampton’s presence worldwide and our newest location will provide those traveling to Mexico with a convenient location close to the city’s main business areas.”
Located within the Plaza Boreal, Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Aguascalientes features a contemporary exterior featuring a crystal blue and white façade with orange-accents. The new hotel offers convenient access to Plaza Boreal’s attractions including an ice-skating rink and bowling alley, as well as variety of shops, restaurants and proximity to the industrial zone of the city.
“Aguascalientes is an ideal location for our newest hotel in Mexico, with its focus on economic growth, continued infrastructure development and industrial strength,” said Tom Potter, SVP, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America for Hilton Worldwide. “The opening of Hampton Inn and Suites by Hilton Aguascalientes is a welcome addition to our growing portfolio throughout the country.”
The city of Aguascalientes has been nicknamed “el corazón” which means “the heart” of Mexico because of its location in the middle of the country. In addition to a number of historic sites, Aguascalientes is home to the Feria de San Marcos – a traditional four century old national fair.
