CHICAGO— The Hyatt Regency Chicago has welcomed back two executives who previously served at the 2,019-room downtown hotel. Jerry Gibson has been appointed vp/managing director and Patrick Donelly has been named general manager. Gibson served as general manager at the Hyatt Regency Chicago from 1997-1999. A 26-year Hyatt veteran, Gibson has served at many Hyatt properties including the Hyatt Regency Maui, Hyatt Regency Waikiki, Hyatt Regency Monterey, Hyatt Regency Waikoloa and Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort and Spa. Additionally, Gibson has held the position of general manager at the Hyatt on Capitol Square, Hyatt Regency Chicago, Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort and Spa, Hyatt Lake Las Vegas and most recently at the Grand Hyatt New York. Donelly served as regional food and beverage director at the Hyatt Regency Chicago from 1991-1995. He is a 20-year veteran of Hyatt and has held catering, convention services and food and beverage positions at several Hyatt hotels nationwide. In other experience, Donelly served as general manager at the Hyatt Regency Knoxville, Hyatt Regency Milwaukee and most recently at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare.
