The Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown has officially broken ground.

NEW YORK—Silverstein Properties and Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts have begun construction on the Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown with an official groundbreaking dedication and ceremonious cement signing.

Notable attendees and speakers included Larry A. Silverstein, president and CEO, Silverstein Properties; Marty Burger, co-CEO, Silverstein Properties; Craig Reid, president, hotel operations – The Americas, Four Seasons; Robert A.M. Stern, founder & senior partner, Robert A.M. Stern Architects; and Catherine McVay Hughes, chair, Community Board One.

Located at Park Place and Church Street, the limestone tower will combine a 185-room Four Seasons-operated luxury hotel with 157 Four Seasons-branded private residences. Robert A.M. Stern is designing every aspect of the private residence floor plans and interiors, while the hotel will feature interiors by Yabu Pushelberg. SLCE Architects is the architect-of-record for the building, and Tishman Construction is serving as construction manager for the project.

The 82-story tower will feature a Four Seasons hotel, restaurant, public plaza and private residences. Construction is slated for completion in early 2016. Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown will occupy the first 38 floors of the building that will also include a specialty restaurant operated by the Four Seasons.
