ORLANDO, FL— Strategic Hotel Capital has sold the Embassy Suites Orlando-Lake Buena Vista Resort here to HEI Hospitality for $56 million. HEI’s wholly owned subsidiary, Merritt Hospitality, will now manage the resort, which contains 333 suites. HEI is also planning on investing $6 million in renovation projects at the resort over the next two years. The projects will involve the guestrooms and the public areas. The Embassy Suites contains 5,600 sf of meeting space spread across six rooms as well as a nearly 3,100 sf ballroom with 14-foot ceilings. The resort also features an indoor pool, an outdoor pool and tennis courts.
