CHARLESTON, SC— For the first time in its history, Wingate Inns will have a property located on a university campus. The first of this kind is set to appear on the grounds of Charleston Southern University here by 2007. Charleston Lodging Co., LLC will break ground on the future property, to be formally titled the Wingate Inn at Charleston Southern, by the end of this year. The hotel will feature 100 rooms and be specifically located within the university’s new Medical/Business Park. While Charleston Lodging will own the asset, IMIC Hotels will develop and manage it.
