SAN FRANCISCO— FirstService, the parent company of Colliers International, has acquired an 80% ownership interest in PKF Consulting and PKF Hospitality Research. The balance of the companies’ equity will be retained by PKF’s senior management team, which will also continue to operate as partners in the businesses. As part of this interest acquisition, FirstService will merge the U.S. hotel consultancy and brokerage operations of Colliers Macaulay Nicolls into PKF to create what it reported as the largest hotel and hospitality consulting, market research and specialty brokerage operation in the U.S. As a result of this merger, Bob Eaton will be the executive managing director of PKF Capital Markets Group, PKF’s hotel brokerage division. Colliers CMN is the largest member of the Colliers International global network. FirstService also owns such brands as the Continental Group, California Closets, Paul Davis Restoration, Pillar to Post Home Inspections, Certa Pro Painters, Intercon Security and Security Services & Technologies.
