KNOXVILLE, TN— InterContinental Hotels Group has opened its first Crowne Plaza in Tennessee. The 197-room, 12-story Crowne Plaza here, owned and managed by Executive Hotel Management, is expected to complete a $1.5 million renovation by the end of the year. The property is the seventh opening for the Crowne Plaza brand in North America this year , according to Kevin Kowalski,vp/brand management, Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts. Kenneth Knight serves as general manager.
