WOODLAND HILLS, CA— Evolution Hospitality has assumed operational responsibility for the 474-room Warner Center Marriott Woodland Hills owned by Laurus Corp., a private real estate investment and development firm based in Los Angeles that purchased the property in July.
This is the second hotel that Evolution Hospitality manages on behalf of Laurus Corp.
The 16-story, full-service hotel is located in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley in the 10.3 million-sq.-ft. Warner Center office park. It features four food and beverage outlets and more than 28,000 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space.
A $10-million renovation is planned for the hotel in 2015.
Murray Lowe has been chosen to lead the Warner Center Marriott team as its new general manager. Prior to joining Evolution Hospitality, Lowe worked for Marriott International for 33 years in operations and food and beverage positions. For the last seven years, Lowe served as general manager at the 370-room Marina del Ray Marriott and immediately prior he spent six years as the GM of the 579-room Fort Lauderdale Marina Marriott in Florida.
