MCLEAN, VA—DoubleTree by Hilton has debuted DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston – Convention Center, a 142-room hotel located across the street from the North Charleston Convention Center, two miles from Charleston International Airport and 10 miles from historic downtown Charleston.
Formerly the Holiday Inn Charleston Airport & Convention Center, the property completed a $4-million dollar renovation that includes a complete redesign of the lobby, guestrooms and restaurant. The property is owned by Lowcountry Hotels and managed by Fennell Holdings.
“Ideally situated close to leading businesses and local attractions, DoubleTree by Hilton North Charleston – Convention Center is poised to become a top hotel choice for guests seeking full-service accommodations and the award-winning DoubleTree by Hilton service experience, whether traveling for business or leisure” said Dianna Vaughan, global head, DoubleTree by Hilton.
Interior design touches abound with suspended wood sculptures, marbled quartz and hardwood accents. Inspired by Charleston’s beaches and culture, there’s a color palette of grays, whites and blues and artwork depicting local landmarks such as Waterfront Park’s Pineapple Fountain. Amenities include a 24-hour business center, 24-hour fitness center, seasonal outdoor pool, and complimentary area shuttle service.
A variety of food and beverage options are available, including Indigo Restaurant and Lounge featuring Lowcountry specialties such as shrimp and grits and fried chicken; the Made Market Pantry is open 24-hours providing grab-and-go options and room service is available for all day dining.
With 4,000 sq. ft. of flexible indoor and outdoor event space, including a 1,600-sq.-ft. ballroom, the property can accommodate weddings, meetings and conferences for up to 120 people.
