WINNIPEG, MANITOBA—The Courtyard by Marriott Winnipeg Airport has opened here.
It is located near the James Armstrong Richardson International Airport terminal. The six-story hotel features Canada’s first Courtyard Cynergy room design, according to the company.
The hotel features a 2,000-sq.-ft. penthouse fitness center with Precor equipment; complimentary use of one of the hotel’s Internet bandwidth; a Starbucks barista bar in the lobby; and more than 1,800 sq. ft. of meeting space that can accommodate events of up to 150 people.
Upon arrival, guests can store luggage on the “Luggage Drop” and utilize the “Tech Drop” ledge to plug their personal devices into for technology integration.
The new room design offers hybrid zones for working, sleeping, relaxing and getting ready. The room also features indirect lighting and a neutral color palette. Traditional art is replaced by signature furniture and architectural elements in the new room. The “LoungeAround” sofa offers a pop of color. Additionally, the room features a light desk on wheels. The bathroom, which features an upgraded, more spacious layout, features a “Shower Nook” for housing shampoos and towels.
The property features the Refreshing Business lobby environment with media pods, complimentary WiFi and various seating zones. The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect. is also in the lobby with flexible seating, healthy menu options and light evening fare such as snacks, cocktails, wine and beer.
Electric outlets are available property-wide. The business library offers several computer terminals with a printer, and separate computer stations for printing airline boarding passes and checking flight status are also available.
