ALEXANDRIA, VA—The Courtyard Alexandria Old Town/Southwest has wrapped up a major renovation project that included guestrooms and corridors; its public dining space; and its meeting spaces.
“A lot of behind-the-scenes work has been put into this project, as we have worked to transform the property from the inside out. We are happy to finally share it with everyone,” said GM Lizza Carter.
An elevated lobby experience is just one of the design highlights, featuring places to relax, work and dine. The space offers media pods and a communal table at The Bistro – Eat. Drink. Connect., the hotel’s restaurant open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The entire lobby and dining area feature new decor as well as other enhancements in addition to the complimentary wireless Internet access that was already available.
For private functions, there are two newly revitalized meeting rooms totaling 1,496 sq. ft. of flexible space. High-tech audio visual equipment is available to facilitate presentations.
In the guestrooms, additions include new carpet and lampshades, the spaces’ double beds have been replaced with queen beds, and new lounge sofas provide a pop of color. In-room amenities include a 32-in. flat-panel HDTV and free WiFi.
Conveniently positioned off of I-495 and near a variety of public transportation options including the Eisenhower Avenue Metro station, the hotel offers easy access to area attractions.
