Boykin Appoints New VP

CLEVELAND- Boykin Lodging Company, a hotel real estate investment trust, appointed Joseph Smith to the position of vp/asset & tenant management. Smith spent 13 years with Boykin Management Company, holding several positions in the field and in the corporate office, including regional vp.

“As the hospitality industry matures and becomes more competitive, Boykin Lodging wants to make sure its management team includes the industrys best talent, focusing on getting the most out of our portfolio. One of Joes key short-term responsibilities will be working with Hilton on our Doubletree hotel portfolio,” said Robert Boykin, chairman, president and CEO of Boykin Lodging Company. (10/19/00)
