MIAMI— The new Regent South Beach here has added to its executive team with the appointment of a new general manager, Helena Blat. The hotel is opening here on Dec. 1. Prior to her appointment, Blat served as hotel manager of the 307-room Shore Club in Miami. In other previous experiences, she was corporate director of operations for Morgans Hotel Group, director of style and director of rooms at the W Union Square in New York and director of operations at the W New York. The Regent South Beach is reportedly the only new-build hotel in Miamis historic Art Deco District. It has been designed by architects Arquitectonica. Lynn Wilson Associates designed the propertys interiors.
