Barceló To Open Two New Luxury Hotels

MEXICO— Barceló Hotels and Resorts will open two new five-star all-inclusive luxury Mayan Riviera Hotels December 1: The Barceló Maya Colonial Beach and The Barceló Maya Tropical Beach. The properties are adjacent the Barceló Maya Beach and the Barceló Maya Caribe Beach Hotels on more than one mile of private white sand beach. The new hotels offer comprehensive all-inclusive programs, including:  full meal service in a selection of gourmet restaurants and lounges; complimentary mini-bar refreshments; water sports and activities, including a scuba diving lesson; fitness and spa services; entertainment in the new theater complete with live shows and an orchestra; tennis; court games; equestrian facilities; miniature golf and a driving range (a nine-hole golf course is less than two miles from the resorts). Together the four Barceló hotels comprise the largest resort facilities along Mexico’s pristine Mayan Riviera.  Both properties offer 474 guestrooms and suites, featuring a private terrace or balcony, air conditioning with individual climate control, in-room safes, ceiling fans, a coffeemaker, bathrobes, a complimentary mini bar, and satellite TV. The new hotels have a selection of eight continental style restaurants and six bars. For relaxation there are two swimming pools with a whirlpool,  plus an additional pool for children with water games, and a state-of-the-art fitness center complete with separate men’s and women’s steam rooms and saunas.  The new hotels offer a special kid’s club as well as babysitting services, video games and movies on-demand.  There is a shopping gallery and a beauty salon. A night club features its own live orchestra and nightly entertainment, and disco dancing.  Meeting planners may choose from four large conference facilities accommodating groups of up to 850 people.  There is an executive business center and full business services.
