BATON ROUGE, LA— The Asian American Hotel Owners Association recently organized a town hall meeting here for its members who were affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in the Gulf Coast region. More than 100 members attended the meeting, which provided the hotel owners a chance to speak with Eugene Cornelius and Kenneth Schumann of the SBA and Steve Crosby, Nancy Olson and David Odegard of FEMA. Companies within the insurance and property adjustment industry also attended the meeting and provided AAHOA members with information on how to hire reliable and reputable insurance adjustment firms. The meeting’s primary purpose was to assist the AAHOA members as they try to rebuild their properties following the hurricanes’ destruction.
