PARIS The official signing of the new code of practice for hotels and travel agencies between the International Hotel & Restaurant Association (IH&RA) and the Universal Federation of Travel Agency Associations (UFTAA) was recently held in Paris. Four annexes have been added to the code. The annexes were drafted by IH&RA and UFTAA in the form of standard contracts integrating clauses from the code of practice, to help facilitate the creation of contracts between hotels and travel agencies. These standard contracts now cover, in addition to group and individual business, allotment and MICE bookings (Meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions). (12/12/00)
