PHILADELPHIA—Apple Leisure Group subsidiary AMResorts will open a Sunscape Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta this December, its fourth property in the destination.
“Expanding the Sunscape brand to an existing destination we know so well was a natural decision for Apple Leisure Group,” stated Alex Zozaya, CEO of Apple Leisure Group. “With the addition of this property, ALG will have 30 open resorts in Mexico by the end of 2017.”
The existing resort is owned by Javier and Enrique Tapia Camou and will close on Aug. 15 for renovations to incorporate Sunscape brand standards.
The resort’s guest accommodations, facilities and amenities will be enhanced to offer AMResorts’ signature Unlimited-Fun vacation concept catering to family. It features connecting rooms and in-room children’s amenities, a food and beverage program that includes six dining options and six bars, an Explorer’s Club for kids with dedicated facilities, daily entertainment and spa.
The resort is slated to reopen as Sunscape Puerto Vallarta by mid-December.
