BETHESDA, MD—AC Hotel Mainz has opened in Mainz, Germany, marking the brand’s first property in the country.
The property also adds to the brand’s growing global portfolio of more than 100 design-led hotels located in Brazil, Denmark, France, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Following a recent renovation, this historic building in the heart of the city has been transformed into a 58-room hotel with a contemporary design. Design details by Dutch interior designer Helge Docters van Leeuwen accentuate the original architecture and introduce a modern finish where clean lines interplay with neutral colors.
Guestrooms blend simple lines and European style to create a contemporary ambiance with open-plan closets, modern design furnishings and rain showers in the bathrooms with signature AC Hotels amenities. In addition, all rooms offer complimentary WiFi and spacious work desks.
The hotel’s restaurant and bar, Adam & Eden, has a French-style bistro menu helmed by Chef Christian Höhn with regional ingredients. There’s also the AC Lounge for cocktails and small bites.
