CARROLLTON, TX—Upon moving its corporate office to a new location in Carrollton, TX, Motel 6 found that its new environmental space lacked the personable nature of its brand, according to the company.
Dallas-based design firm RBMM developed a visual system of environmental graphics that designate the office’s different departments and aim to bolster employee pride.
Motel 6’s six acts as the central visual element of the wayfinding system, each composed of different materials such as gears, keys, books and coins. Every graphic features a dynamic color stripe as its background to differentiate between the corporate departments. Nine one-of-a-kind works of art now serve Motel 6’s corporate office a visual landmarks for visitors and employees.
