SAN FRANCISCO—Hilton Worldwide has opened the Hampton Inn by Hilton San Francisco Downtown/Convention Center, the first property for the brand in this city’s downtown area. The 174-room hotel, located at 942 Mission St., is managed by Mint Development LP.

“San Francisco’s progressive environment attracts the new generation of travelers in the same way as our Hampton by Hilton brand,” said Phil Cordell, global head for focused service and Hampton by Hilton brand management for Hilton Worldwide. “Both are infused with local hospitality, exciting opportunities for discovery and every amenity and attraction this generation of guests needs to stay comfortable and engaged while traveling. The opening of the new Hampton Inn by Hilton San Francisco Downtown/Convention Center, the first focused-service Hilton brand in the heart of the city, is a perfect alignment of brand and location.”

Located in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood, the hotel is nearby popular area attractions including the Moscone Convention Center, Union Square, AT&T Park, the Theater District and Fisherman’s Wharf.

“Our new hotel could not be in a more convenient and exciting location,” said Todd Symynuk, general manager. “Our property is a walk or cable-car ride away from historical sites such as Alcatraz, culinary venues like Chinatown, art museums such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and, of course, the main attraction, the Golden Gate Bridge. The offerings within the city of San Francisco, paired with the redwood forests and wineries outside of the city, are sure to attract many types of visitors to our new Hampton Inn by Hilton.”

Hotel amenities include free WiFi, a 24-hour business center with complimentary printing, a pool and a fitness center. The hotel also provides free On the House hot breakfast; Hampton’s On the Run Breakfast Bags, available Monday through Friday; and the Suite Shop, open 24 hours a day. Guestrooms are equipped with the brand’s signature Clean and Fresh Hampton bed, an LCD TV, a free in-room movie channel, and iron with ironing board and a coffeemaker.
