SILVER SPRING, MD–Choice Hotels International reported that fourth-quarter 2011 RevPAR jumped 7.8%, compared to the same period in 2010.

The company attributed the jump to occupancy rates increasing 280 basis points and ADR increasing 2.7 percent during the quarter.

The franchisor of such brands as Comfort Inn and Quality Inn, among others, executed 128 new domestic franchise contracts in the period, compared to 161 contracts executed in the same period in the prior year.

The company continues to actively promote one of its newest brands, the upper-end select-service Cambria Suites, particularly the urban prototype. The Cambria Suites Pittsburgh at Consol Energy Center is pictured.
