NEW YORK–JT Hospitality, formed last October with the merger of Thompson Hotels and Joie de Vivre, has been renamed Commune Hotels & Resorts.

In addition, Joie de Vivre, a group of more than 30 independent hotels, will now be known as the JDV Collection.

Later this year, Commune Hotels & Resorts plans to introduce a new design-driven, value-oriented brand that has yet to be named.
