DUBAI— Hilton Hotels Corp. plans to launch 15 new hotels in the Gulf region, including nine in the United Arab Emirates. In the region, Hilton has set a development goal of an additional 20 new signings over the next five years. These projects will add another 4,000 rooms in the region. Hilton will open its first residential offering in Dubai, the Hilton Jumeirah Beach Residence with 371 rooms and apartments, in January 2008. Properties in the development stage include a boutique property, Hilton Dubai Beach Club, with 42 chalets opening in August 2008, and the first two Conrad hotels in Dubai and Abu Dhabi opening by end of 2009.
