CLOVERDALE, CA— The future Alexander Valley Resort project here is now progressing through its entitlement process. Thus far, the resort has completed a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Cloverdale, undertaken a Master Environmental Assessment and submitted a specific plan for the property. The resort’s environmental impact report is now nearly finished and the final draft of it should be completed during the first or second quarter. As part of the overall process, the resort has applied to the North Coast Regional Water Quality Control Board and the Sonoma County Environmental Health department to begin the removal of the wood waste landfill left on its site by the Louisiana Pacific Corporation. The site’s landfill remediation is expected to begin on April 4.
