Marriott Adds BET’s Lee To Board of Directors

BETHESDA, MD— Debra Lee, president and COO of Black Entertainment Television, has been added to the board of directors at Marriott International. In addition, Richard Braddock, chairman of private equity firm MidOcean Partners, has also been added to the company’s board. He had previously held chairman and chief executive positions at Priceline.com, and led the company through its launch and initial public offering. Lee, meanwhile, was an attorney at Steptoe & Johnson Marriott had net income of $114 million last quarter, down from year-ago levels when it sold a business. Marriott has raised its full-year forecast because of a larger than expected increase in business travel.
