LOS ANGELES— The KOR Hotel Group has acquired the Sheraton Gateway Hotel at Los Angeles International Airport, the second Sheraton in its portfolio. Renovations and a redesign for the 797-room property are set to begin in this quarter, and will include updating guestrooms and suites and enhancing public areas. Meeting space, which encompasses 40,000 square feet, also is slated for revamp. The KOR Hotel Group, a division of private real estate development and management firm KOR Group, also owns a Four Points by Sheraton in Santa Monica, CA, as well as the Avalon Hotel and Maison 140 in Beverly Hills and the Estrella in Palm Springs, CA. The hotel group also is presently renovating a Summerfield Suites in West Hollywood, which it will reopen later this year under the KOR Hotel Group name.
