NEW YORK Sir Rocco Forte, owner and operator of RF Hotels, is planning to expand into central London. Conversion of a Grade I listed building in St. James may take place and become part of Sir Rocco s growing luxury hotels portfolio.

RF Hotels is currently involved in the #26.5 million venture to build the 164-room Lowry Hotel in Manchester. The hotel is due to open next spring and become the group s seventh hotel property.

Other developments include a #50 million holiday golf resort in Sardinia, conversion of the Hotel Europa in Prague and a golfing hotel in East Lothian. (9/22/00)
