$12M Spa at Pinehurst Opens

VILLAGE OF PINEHURST, NC— Pinehurst resort on March 27 opened the $12 million The Spa at Pinehurst, marking “the beginning of an exciting new chapter in Pinehursts history, said Patrick Corso, president of Pinehurst and of The Pinehurst Co. “When people think about Pinehurst, they likely think golf, and with good reason. We offer one of the truly classic golf experiences in the whole world. But before golf took center stage at Pinehurst, our resort was founded as a healing sanctuary, and in many ways this spa represents and honors that vision. The Spa features 28 private treatment rooms for massage, facials and body treatments; a three-lane lap pool; a full-service salon and image center for hair, scalp and nail treatments; a 1,300-square-foot fitness center; locker rooms with whirlpool, steam and sauna; and trained staff. “In addition to honoring this important historical legacy, we feel strongly that The Spa at Pinehurst will open up the magic of our resort to a larger and more diverse audience than ever before, Corso said. Pinehurst is part of The Pinehurst Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Dallas-based ClubCorp. The resort division also includes The Homestead, Hot Springs, VA; Barton Creek, Austin, TX; and Palmilla, Los Cabos, Mexico.
