NEW ORLEANS— Gil Zanchi has been appointed area general manager at the 1,290-room New Orleans Marriott. A 23-year Marriott veteran, Zanchi most recently served as the vp of select-service and extended-stay hotels for the central region for Marriott International. He has also served as food and beverage director for both Stouffer Hotel’s Wailea Beach and the Renaissance Vinoy Resorts. Zanchi’s history with the Renaissance brand also includes stints as the hotel manager for the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel and general manager of the Renaissance Orlando Airport Hotel.
