SAN DIEGO—Xpera CM, a construction management consulting firm based here, has completed construction on a new $50-million hotel tower project at the Viejas Casino and Resort in Alpine, CA.
Xpera CM was retained by the Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians to manage the design and construction of the four-star resort project, which includes a new five-story, 109-room hotel tower; a top-floor technology suite; added gaming floor; specialty bar; ballroom; meeting and board rooms; resort-style pool and multi-use grounds.
According to Xpera CM, it provided full-service project management services for the Viejas project, working with the contractor and suppliers to deliver it 30 days early and under budget. Construction, which began in June 2014, involved the demolition of an existing administration building and reconfiguration of the site to blend with the existing facility.
The project was designed by the San Diego offices of JCJ Architecture, with Swinerton Builders as the general contractor.
