VIEQUES ISLAND, PUERTO RICO— Wyndham International announced that Martineau Bay Inc. has selected it to manage its new 156-room oceanfront resort on Vieques Island. Called the Wyndham Martineau Bay Resort & Spa, the property opened on Feb. 24. Situated on 42 acres on the north shore of Vieques, the resort offers plantation-style, tropical guesthouses with spacious rooms and suites with Spanish and French accents. The resort features a full-service spa and fitness center; two restaurants; a bar and lounge; tennis courts; and water sports. There is also a dedicated meetinghouse for meetings and banquets of up to 176 people. William Ben Tutt has been named general manager of the Wyndham Martineau Bay Resort & Spa. Prior to his appointment, Tutt was director/rooms at the Wyndham El Conquistador Resort and Golden Spa in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico. There are now six Wyndham-branded properties in Puerto Rico.
