BENGALURU, INDIA—Wyndham Hotel Group, the world’s largest hotel company with approximately 7,540 hotels and part of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation, has opened its first Howard Johnson hotel in India here.
The brand makes its entry into India with the Howard Johnson Bengaluru Hebbal, a 117-room midmarket, full-service hotel located close to the Kempegowda International Airport and Manyata Embassy Business Park.
The opening is the first in a long-term development agreement with Unique Mercantile India Private Limited to bring 35 Howard Johnson properties to various markets in India within the next five years.

The rooms at Howard Johnson Bengaluru Hebbal are categorized into 81 deluxe rooms, 23 executive club rooms, five premium rooms and eight suites. Amenities in all rooms include digital anti-theft laptop safes; personal minibars; a tea and coffeemaker; and a working table with an ergonomic chair. Guests can use the outdoor swimming pool, spa and fitness center. The hotel also hosts a 3,500-sq.-ft. conference and event space, which includes two meeting rooms and a business center that is open 24 hours a day.

The hotel offers several dining options, including all-day-dining facility Nest; Marea bar; and Verve, the café lounge which offers an array of single-origin coffees and organic and flavored teas.
